February 14 – National Donor Day

February 14 is not only Valentine’s Day, but also National Donor Day, a special day to honor those who have given the gift of life to others, thanks to organ, eye and tissue donation. This Valentine’s Day, celebrate the gift of life by saying “YES” to organ, eye and tissue donation.

February is Hearth Health Month, a time to remember the importance of paying attention to your heart health, understanding your risk factors, and taking the steps to protect your heart and reduce your chances of getting heart disease.

March – National Kidney Month

March is National Kidney Month! There are nearly 92,000 Americans waiting for a kidney transplant. To keep your kidneys healthy eat a nutritious diet, be physically active, stay hydrated with water, work on moderating your weight, and avoid tobacco.

April – National Donate Life Month

National Donate Life Month recognizes the generosity of those who have saved and enhanced lives by becoming organ, eye and tissue donors, while also highlighting the critical need for more people to sign up to be donors.

May – Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month

In the month of May, we honor all backgrounds of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) cultures. We celebrate AAPI Heritage Month, and reflect on the life-saving impact of organ, eye and tissue donation within AAPI communities. Over 10,000 AAPI patients are currently waiting for their lifesaving transplant.
