OneLegacy supports and sponsors many events throughout the year.
OneLegacy proudly partners with members of our Donate Life community to produce events that are as inspiring as the people who envisioned them: the donor families who keep the memory of their loved ones alive and the transplant recipients who dream of ways to say thank you for the gift of life.

Since 2004, the Donate Life float has added an emotional and deeply meaningful dimension to "America's New Year Celebration", the Rose Parade. Proudly coordinated by OneLegacy staff and supported by hundreds of area volunteers, the Donate Life float is the centerpiece of a national media campaign to inspire tens of millions of people throughout the nation and the world to save and heal lives as organ, eye and tissue donors. Families served by OneLegacy’s Family Support Services program are encouraged to apply to have your deceased loved one memorialized with a OneLegacy-sponsored Floragraph.

Founded in 2003, the OneLegacy Donate Life RunWalk at Azusa Pacific University is the largest event of its kind in the nation. The event features an inspiring opening ceremony, competitive 5K run and a healthy 5K/1K walk, followed by a Family Festival with food vendors, live entertainment, special activities for children and a raffle drawing. The annual event was founded by local organizers Craig and Kathleen Hostert of Fullerton and is produced by an Orange County-based 40-member organizing committee. Kathleen, formerly an elementary school teacher and now OneLegacy's Communications Manager, donated a kidney to her husband Craig in 1998. Originally inspired by the Hosterts' desire to support friends they made at St. Joseph Hospital's dialysis center, the OneLegacy Donate Life RunWalk welcomed more than 8,000 participants in each of the last two years.
Connecting the Dots is a virtual town hall series provides knowledge, empowerment, and address health disparities in minority communities. With a target focus on areas and groups with low donor designation rates, this series takes a grassroots approach to reach new and existing audiences through word-of-mouth and social media marketing communications. OneLegacy partners with local and national community leaders to discuss how to effectively be the change you want to see.
Each February and March, OneLegacy hosts Donor Remembrance Ceremonies themed Fields of Gold. The intent of the ceremony is to honor and remember your loved one and your decision to give the gift of life, health and hope to others in need. A video presentation features a picture of each donor along with thoughts about them which are submitted by the family. Each family is presented with a Bridging Lives donor pin and pendant set. We hope that our speakers’ messages provide you with support and encouragement, as well as affirm your decision to say yes to donation. There is no cost to attend the ceremony. Attendance is by invitation only. Invitations are mailed out in November and each family is able to attend a Donor Remembrance Ceremony once.
OneLegacy Inspires Hollywood is an initiative of the OneLegacy Foundation supported by national partners to serve as a bridge between the entertainment industry and the organ, eye and tissue donation community. The goal of OneLegacy Inspires Hollywood is to increase the number of authentic and positive portrayals of organ donation in storylines, eliminate Hollywood Myths that keep people from registering and build partnerships with writers, producers, celebrities and networks to help save lives.
OneLegacy reaches out to Southern California's diverse communities via programs that inspire people to donate life. We help the public understand the life-saving and healing benefits of transplantation, the importance of registering as a donor, and how organ, eye and tissue donation strengthens families and communities.
OneLegacy invites organizations of all kinds to play an important part in inspiring people to save lives as organ donors.
