Our Organ Operations team members work with more than 215 hospitals throughout the region to coordinate donation at the time of a person’s death. As a result, people live longer and more productive lives thanks to organ transplants.
The Organ Operations department include several teams working cooperatively to support the donation process:

|Family Care Specialists||Trained in bereavement counseling, these employees support potential donor families at the hospital and sensitively present the opportunity to Donate Life.|
|Procurement Transplant Coordinators||Dozens of highly trained coordinators evaluate patients to determine their suitability as donors and, following authorization to recover organs, clinically manage the brain-dead patient and coordinate organ recovery.|
